My guilty pleasure is bolognese with crips (sourcream and onion).

When enemies become friends on TV, I cry.

I find chaotic situations uncontrollably funny.

I grew up in the city, which has upsides and downsides…

I am also a user researcher /service designer with an expertise in qualitative research of peoples behaviors and needs.

I want to create user centric services that contribute to a better society. I have a background in the film industry and I love to tell stories.

This is an excerpt from some of the cases I have worked with as a user researcher / service designer.

User research of young adults in Huddinge who nether work or studie

SAMORDNINGSFÖRBUNDET HUDDINGE 2020

In Huddinge, statistics say that there are a lot of young adults who nether work or studie. Where are they then, and how do they spend their days? In this studie, we talk with young adults in the streets, make contact with young “hemmasittare“ interview them to figure out what they need to get closer to work or school. Important focus is to figure out what the root of the problem is. We do not think that they need help writing a CV. We think that they need something to write in a CV. We are searching for the root of the problem, so that we do not solve a symptom. If we solve a symptom, there will most likely pop up a new issue somewhere else. If young people need confidence to apply for work. Then we will figure out how to give them confidence.

Teaching user research, service design and interaction design

SÖDERTÖRNS HÖGSKOLA / KTH - 2020

The Royal Institute of Technology arranged a course with itch, in service design and user-centered design. They had a focus in case-films. Since I have a background in film and know what resources the students have to use, I was responsible for that part of the course.

In Södertörns Högskola I have educated 4 programs in courses like Interaction Design, Service Design and User Research. My focuses was designing for interaction between people, stakeholder mapping, behavioral groups & personas, costumer journeys, interview techniques, workshop facilitating and qualitative data mapping.

User centric design to inhibit sexual harassment online

VINNOVA 2019

Me and a team at itch were granted fundings from Swedens innovation agency, Vinnova, in May 2019. The project aimed to expand knowledge about sexual harassment and result in ideas on how to inhibit it. Through quantitative and qualitative data we discovered some severe issues. Knowledge of online sexual harassment is very low. We realized that simple technical design solutions are "quick fixes" and we need to think long term. We developed an ide of a concept that is about spreading knowledge about the subject, and at the same time giving support to the victim. I was responsible for team, communication and delivery. There are currently opportunities to apply for more fundings from Vinnova for further iteration of this project. And it can be done from any organisation. If desired, I can send over the report of this projekt.

Creating value in the resources of elderly care

2025

SOLNA STAD 2019

Sweden's population is aging and resources for elderly care are becoming scarce. In this project, we spoke with people who need and work with elderly home care to find out how home care can be more efficient without losing value. For many elderly people, there are obstacles to the digital world, but one thesis is that digital aids can be a key to better care with scarce resources and also create a less solitary existence for the elderly. In this project, I learned to be patient in the process of facing a difficult challenge. Resources for elderly are becoming scarce, while elderly need more resources. As a service designer in this project, I appreciated combining different methods, such as observing senior meetings combined with individual interviews.

Diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis, as a cause for queues at the emergency room at SÖS

SÖS & PFIZER 2018

The diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis, could be a contributing cause of queues at the emergency room at SÖS. At least, that was the hypothesis at the beginning of this project. We interviewed patients and employees at the hospital and the focus was their experience of the diagnosis of DVT. Through interviews and quantitative data we developed insights, present and future ideal customer journeys and behavior groups to create an overview of the needs people involved in the diagnosis have. The main insights in this project where about resource priorities. High-ranking physicians may need to do simpler tasks such as work in triaging. In this project I developed my ability to think in systems rather than service. That is, a service is never linear, but is influenced by many different channels and stakeholders.

Process of making goegraphical data available to the public

LANTMÄTERIET 2018

Lantmäteriet secures property ownership and makes geographic data available to the community. In 2018, a large amount of geographic data would be released to the public, free of charge. Lantmäteriet wanted to find out how this data is used by the public, and how it is retrieved. This project was very interesting as we gained insight into user needs, which came as a surprice to us and Lantmäteriet. We realized that if data is to be released to the public, it also needs to be available to the public. In the past, you had to be knowledgeable in geographic data and programming in order to be able to access material. This was one of my first service design projects and I learned a lot when I had amazingly competent colleagues at Transformator Design.
